Frisco Classics, 2025

Heyyyyyy you beautiful people! Just wanted to include you in on a few updates.

Last weekend I photographed the baseball games for The Frisco Classic out in Frisco, Texas.

This is a yearly sports event that happens around the same time each year (end of February, beginning of March) and so far, I have been able to photograph for 3 years, non-consecutive.

The teams consisted of: Sam Houston State, LSU, Nebraska, and K-State.

The first set of games started on Friday, Feb. 28th. Now, I missed the first game between LSU and K-State, but I was able to make the 2nd game of Sam Houston vs. Nebraska due to having a full-time job and I was going to rent out another lens but decided against it and to use what I had. Anyway, since I packed all my camera equipment the night before and brought it to work, I was able to drive straight to the field from work. The drive was nearly an hour, but it was a smooth ride, nonetheless.

I arrived at the field and made it right on time for the game. Usually, I walk around before I start putting my camera gear together just to get a feel of where to start and also get comfortable. I stayed for the whole game and although shooting sports can get repetitive, I usually try to cover images of the crowd reactions and celebrations between the players……and I love catching the slides into the bases.

Actually, I caught the end of game 1 between K-State vs LSU.

So, here’s literally a couple of images from both games on Day 1.

LSU vs K- State & Nebraska vs Sam Houston State

Day 2. March 1st (Saturday)

Again for day 2, I could not stay the whole day for both games due to actually having a concert to go to….and you catch that on my next blog.

Anyway, since I had a concert to go to later that evening, I was only able to go game one (K-State vs Sam Houston).

I arrived early and immediately got started with photos since I knew I wasn’t going to catch the whole game.

Check out some photos from ONLY game 1 of Day 2.

Day 3. March 2nd (Sunday)

For the last day, I had no other tasks or reasons to miss any of the 2 games for Sunday. I was late but only because they moved up the start of the first game due to weather.

So, I showed up for game 1 of Day 3, K-State vs Nebraska just a little bit late since there was no notification of heads up about a time change. Things happen and we can’t control the weather, so once I showed up, I got started. Since I opted out of renting an extra lens for the close-ups on long distance shots, I’ve been shooting with my 50-140 XF lens from Fujifilm. The idea was to just shoot with what I had but listen, if I don’t get the new lens that I’ve eyeing, I’ll definitely be renting out a secondary lens to help with any distance shots.

Also, someone approached and we had a very quick chat. He was just giving me my props because he’s seen me out here since day 1.

Also, before I display these photos from game 1 and 2 of Day 3, I just wanted to shout out to the LSU fans…They really show up for their people!

Day 3: K-State(6) vs Nebraska(9) and LSU(12) vs Sam Houston State(8)

Here’s something you should know…I am available to shoot for the season, single games or just of a player! Any level, any age!

Have a good Friday!
